I was responsible for the launch, planning, and branding of “IZANAU,” an information portal that comprehensively provides information on working, living, and daily life in Japan for foreign residents and visitors, as well as highly skilled foreign professionals.
I managed the entire process—from developing the concept of connecting Japan with the world to designing the logo and creating the initial UI/UX design. I established a brand identity that struck a balance between “trustworthiness” and “approachability that conveys the appeal of Japan” for a multinational target audience, thereby contributing to the development of the service’s foundation.
First Server
I oversaw the design of FirstServer Co., Ltd.’s corporate logo, the logo for its flagship service “Zenlogic,” and the overall UI/UX design for the service.
For a cloud-based web hosting service—an invisible infrastructure service—I established a minimalist, trustworthy visual identity that incorporates the spirit of “Zen.”
Furthermore, I designed a consistent brand experience that transcends the boundaries between the digital and physical worlds—from application user interfaces to the design of physical office spaces. I have developed creative concepts that blend cutting-edge technology with intelligent, user-centric hospitality.
KASHIWAYA
Comprehensive branding for “Senriyama Kashiwaya,” a renowned restaurant that continues to pursue the pinnacle of Japanese cuisine.
We visualized the restaurant’s philosophy—which values the changing seasons and the spirit of the sukiya-style tea house—through a consistent visual identity that extends from the logo and website to various promotional materials, uniforms, and magazine advertisements.
Through the power of design, we harmonized the weight of tradition with the sophistication befitting a modern dining experience, creating a brand experience that allows guests to engage with “Kashiya” through all five senses.
Playism
I led the launch of “PLAYISM,” Japan’s first indie game publishing platform, overseeing every stage of the brand-building process.
During the early days, when the term “indie game” had not yet gained widespread recognition in Japan, I championed the mission of bringing individual creativity to the world. I took a holistic approach, overseeing everything from the development of the corporate identity (logo and brand identity) to the platform’s UI/UX, promotional videos, and the direction of large-scale events.
MoeNobel
The approachability of the “MoeNovel” brand name and its cutting-edge nature as a form of digital entertainment. We created a logo design that fuses these two aspects.
“Delicate lines” that embody the Japanese aesthetic sensibility and “highly visible typography” that stands out even on global platforms. By meticulously combining these elements, we defined a “face of the brand” that would be embraced not only by a specific fan base but also by the broader global gaming community. It embodies modern, sophisticated creative standards while maintaining a deep respect for Japanese animation culture.
Active Gaming Media
The new logo embodies “two-way connection,” which is the very essence of AGM’s purpose.
We unleash our own exceptional content and core values to the world, while simultaneously deeply incorporating diverse cultures and contexts from around the globe into our organization. We have defined the logo as the nexus where these energies—moving “outward” and “inward”—intersect.
The minimalist design, stripped down to its bare essentials, symbolizes a solid identity that remains unwavering even as it takes on the hues of every color (culture). Moving beyond the image of a specific industry, the logo embodies a presence as a “symbol of trust” within a global context.
