A comprehensive promotional campaign designed to boost tourism in Otsu City, Shiga Prefecture—a place associated with Murasaki Shikibu—in conjunction with the broadcast of the Taiga drama. Our proposal was selected by the local government based on its strategic tour design and creative concepts.
We provided comprehensive production services, ranging from graphic design for campaign brochures and flyers to the development of a digital stamp rally utilizing a dedicated app. We reinterpreted the atmosphere inherent in Heian-period literature from a modern perspective and designed “motivation” to encourage a wide range of people to explore the city.
KURASHIKI ALL WLLCOM
The “ALL WELCOME” project in Kurashiki City, Okayama Prefecture, aims to welcome travelers from diverse cultural backgrounds.
To ensure that everyone can enjoy their travels with peace of mind, regardless of religious or physical limitations, we handled multifaceted communication design—from selecting pictograms (symbols) to negotiating with restaurants to accommodate Muslim guests, producing guidebooks (pamphlets), and taking photographs that convey the area’s visual appeal.
Going beyond simply disseminating information, we updated the local mindset and built the infrastructure needed to connect travelers from around the world with the city.
Osaka Castle Digital Content (Historic Site Guide Function)
We produced digital content that showcases the appeal of Osaka Castle—one of Japan’s premier historic sites—from multiple perspectives.
We handled the entire process, from planning and filming video content that unravels the site’s historical significance to implementing a digital map that allows visitors to navigate the vast grounds with ease.
We transformed specialized historical facts into “stories” that anyone—regardless of nationality or age—can enjoy, successfully balancing the convenience of modern tourism infrastructure with a deep appreciation for the site as a cultural asset.
Mozu-Furuichi Kofun Group
To mark the inscription of the “Mozu-Furuichi Kofun Cluster”—Osaka’s first World Cultural Heritage site—we launched a strategic PR campaign targeting the global market. In addition to producing official brochures and posters in five languages, we conducted a survey (questionnaire) targeting foreign tourists. Based on the analysis of these results, we provided comprehensive support, including the development of optimal sightseeing routes covering the vast area. We transformed the massive “kofun”—a serene cultural resource—into an active tourist attraction that people from around the world should experience, and used the power of creativity to drive the development of a welcoming environment throughout the entire region.
Digital Marketing Services for Asago City
A multifaceted digital marketing campaign aimed at attracting tourists to Asago City, Hyogo Prefecture.
We re-edited existing video content from a marketing perspective and used Google Ads and Facebook Ads to reach the target audience directly.
We provided a one-stop service ranging from the creation of visually impactful GDN (Google Display Network) banners to the optimization of ad delivery based on data. We implemented a dynamic communication strategy to reposition the city’s historical resources as “destinations of choice for today’s travelers.”
Instagram Campaign : Poster Design
We created promotional visuals for the “Mie Prefecture Tourism Instagram Campaign” launched by the Mie Prefecture Tourism Association and JTB. For the B1 posters and A4 flyers, we adopted a “grid-based design” that encapsulates the multifaceted appeal of Mie Prefecture.
The core tagline of the creative concept was developed in collaboration with a native writer. Rather than relying on simple translations or stock phrases, we proposed wording that deeply resonates with the sensibilities of travelers both in Japan and abroad, thereby building a visual and emotional brand experience through social media.
Sumo Tourism PR Video
A PR video project designed to showcase the charms of Katsuragi City in Nara Prefecture—considered the birthplace of sumo—to the world.
Videos were produced around three distinct themes: “Katsuragi City: The Birthplace of Sumo,” “The History of Sumo,” and “Memorable Matches and Epic Battles.” From its complex historical background to the city’s contemporary appeal, the content was optimized for a global audience through multilingual distribution.
The videos directly bridge the depth of traditional culture with the city’s appeal as a modern tourist destination through visual storytelling.
Takeuchi Kaido and Yokooji
A revitalization project for the Takeuchi Kaidō and Yokōdōri (Ōdō)—Japan’s oldest official roads, constructed during the reign of Empress Suiko. We developed a logo symbolizing the continuity of history and created an official website to accurately convey the roads’ value to domestic and international travelers. In addition to the Japanese version, we localized the site into English and Traditional Chinese to enhance its global reach. We connected the charms of the municipalities along the route—where 1,400 years of history come alive—through a single narrative, designing a foundation for a new, region-wide tourism initiative.
Contract for the Provision of Tourism Information for Foreign Visitors to Kochi Prefecture
For four years, I was comprehensively responsible for content creation, management, and overseas promotion for Kochi Prefecture’s official website for international visitors (visitkochijapan.com).
Drawing on the perspectives of native speakers from diverse nationalities, I communicated the appeal of Kochi’s nature, cuisine, and history through writing and video content that reflected the cultural context, thereby building a robust digital platform. Furthermore, I implemented a multi-dimensional cross-media strategy integrated with in-person events, including inviting Taiwanese media representatives and placing advertisements in international magazines. By optimizing (localizing) “Kochi’s unique value” to meet the expectations of fans in each country, I made a significant contribution to the sustained growth of inbound tourism.
Seasonal Kyotango Logo
The “Shun no Kyotango” logo design project was launched to promote the food culture of Kyotango City, Kyoto Prefecture. In a proposal contest (open call for promotional proposals) organized by the local government, AGM CREATIVE Div. was selected after its strategic approach was highly evaluated.
The logo encapsulates the vibrant vitality of the “seasonal” bounty—from the rich seafood of the Sea of Japan to the agricultural products nurtured by the fertile soil—and the “authentic value” woven from Kyotango’s unique climate and landscape into a single symbolic mark. It successfully balances a sense of unity as a regional brand with visual expression that resonates with consumers’ sensibilities.
